Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play a very important role in helping the shelter succeed in our mission to care for and find good homes for all of the adoptable dogs and cats that find their way to the FSPCA. Following is a list of volunteer opportunities. Call 434-591-0123 for the latest volunteer opportunities, or check out our Facebook page.
Rules and Regs
To keep shelter pets and volunteers safe, we do not accept volunteer groups with participants younger than 16 years old without adult volunteer accompaniment or groups larger than 10 people. Thank you for your understanding!
If you need to do court-ordered community service, please fill out the community service form and submit it to manager@fspca.org. To do community service, you MUST be over 16 years old and your offense cannot be an animal law violation. FSPCA reserves the right to refuse community service for any reason.

Photography
Huge thanks to Claire Pieron who has headed up our pawsome shelter pet Photography Team for the past 4 years! Claire is going to take some time to focus on family and fun personal goals, but we are so grateful for her time, talent, and dedication to helping our furbabies look their best, and find forever homes! We hope to continue to see you at the FSPCA for other volunteer fun Claire! If you’d like to help with our shelter photography, please email our Manager, Jessy at manager@fspca.org. Look how fun it is!
