Pets up for Adoption
Shelter animals deserve a wonderful, loving, healthy, and attentive home. If you are looking for a companion animal, we have the perfect friend for you! Animals at the shelter receive emergency medical care and basic vaccinations. We require that all of the animals adopted from our shelter be spayed or neutered, either before or shortly after they are adopted.
Also, ask about our Paws-to-Consider Program! This program enables potential adopters to foster a shelter pet for up to 30 days before finalizing the pet’s adoption- we want to ensure that it is the best match for both the pet and family. This program is available for shelter pets older than 6 months. You may email manager@fspca.org or call 434-591-0123 for more information.

Prospective Adopter Questionnaire
Before adoption arrangements are finalized, adopters must complete this questionnaire and be approved for adoption. If you are interested in adopting, please print and complete this form, and then you may either mail it to the shelter or bring it with you when you visit.
Note: Submitting an application indicates interest, and does not place the animal on hold. We are unable to offer a waiting list for animals in care.
