Dear FSPCA Friends, Community Members, and Supporters,

Earlier this year, Fluvanna SPCA Shelter Manager Meaghan Szwejkowski announced that she will be resigning from her position effective April 26th.

This is both saddening and exciting news for Team FSPCA. Meaghan (pictured below left) has been an incredibly strong leader over the past three years, helping the organization make many improvements and positive leaps in that time. Her leadership will be missed, and she will always be a part of Team FSPCA. We thank Meaghan for her great work for the homeless and neglected pets in the Fluvanna community and wish her the best of luck as she embarks on an exciting new journey.
Happily, the Board of Directors did not have to look far for the next Shelter Manager.  After three years of leading our Animal Care team, Jessy Shifflett (pictured below right)  will be stepping into the position.  In her time with the FSPCA, Jessy has demonstrated the compassion, knowledge, and drive that will be vital in her new role.
We are excited to continue moving forward with Jessy leading our shelter team.  Please join us in welcoming her.
Thank you,
